Mainland BlockParty will usher in 2027 with another edition of its annual New Year’s Day celebration, taking place on January 1 in Ikeja, Lagos.
Built around the idea of starting the year with music, community and youth culture, the festival has grown from its 2018 origins into a major fixture on Lagos’ entertainment calendar. Its annual “Mission 25k” editions have also become a marker of the festival’s growth, with Adekunle Gold and Seyi Vibez headlining.
For 2027, MBP is once again looking to make the first day of the year a major cultural gathering.
The event will bring together music, DJs, entertainment and the communal energy that has defined the BlockParty experience, giving Lagosians a way to move directly from the festive season into the new year.
